The thesaurus is a dictionary of synonyms that you can use to find words that are synonymous with a term.</help:help-text></help:to-be-embedded></p>
<p class="Paragraph"><help:help-text value="visible" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">This is the word which is to be replaced by a synonym.</help:help-text> The default word depends on the position of the cursor when the dialog is activated. If the cursor is within a word, or directly before or after a word, this word is automatically the default for the search.</p>
<p class="Paragraph"><help:help-text value="visible" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">The different meanings for a word are listed here.</help:help-text> For words with several meanings, select the appropriate context.</p>
<p class="Paragraph"><help:help-text value="visible" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">Enter the new word with which to replace the original word here. Alternatively, select the word directly from the <span class="T1">Synonym</span> list field.</help:help-text></p>
<p class="Paragraph"><help:help-text value="visible" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">All synonyms found are listed here.</help:help-text> Select the desired word, which then is displayed in the <span class="T1">Replace</span> field.</p>
<p class="Paragraph"><help:help-text value="visible" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">If none of the suggested synonyms fit your needs, select the closest-matching word and click <span class="T1">Search</span>.</help:help-text> The selected word becomes the starting point for the next synonym search.</p>
<p class="Paragraph"><help:help-text value="visible" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">Click here to open the <span class="T1">Select Language</span> dialog, where you can define the language for the thesaurus.</help:help-text></p>
